About Me
Understanding Paving Contractor Services

Hello, my name is Wendy Watterson. Welcome to my website about paving contractors. When I was a first-time homeowner, I was unsure about all of the different ways I could personalize my home. I knew that I did not like the layout of the driveway out front, but I did not know how to address the changes. Thankfully, I contacted a paving contractor who walked me through the renovation process from start to finish. I created this site to help other people gain the knowledge and confidence they need to approach paving renovation jobs. I want to help others personalize their home. Thanks for visiting my site.

Did You Have A Paint Spill On Your Garage Concrete And Asphalt Driveway? What To Do

If you or your spouse was painting around the exterior of the home and got paint inside the garage on the concrete and on your asphalt driveway, you may have to get professional help to undo the problem. Unfortunately, it can be very difficult to get paint off these two surfaces, and both surfaces may need to be coated and treated by the professionals so you don't see the paint any longer. Paint thinner and paint removal products most likely won't be successful, especially if there are large areas with paint. Here are a few things you'll want to consider doing to get rid of the paint markings.

Hire Sealcoating Professionals

To get the asphalt clean you'll want to have a professional sealcoating company come and add seal the driveway. This helps restore the asphalt, the entire surface will be covered in a lawyer of asphalt to cover up the paint and other blemishes that occur over time, and then the driveway is sealed so the coloring lasts.

You can have any damages or cracks repaired with asphalt before the new top layer is put down. This is something that should be done every few years anyways to prevent pot holes and cracks, and to also keep the pavement looking black and new.

Have the Concrete Stained or Covered with Epoxy

If you have a standard grey garage floor that has oil marks, dirt stains and other debris, you may want to talk with a concrete blacktop company about having the pavement stained or covered with an epoxy coating. The company will come and pressure wash the garage to get all of the dirt and oil that can be removed, and then when the floor is dry they will prep it for the new application.

You can choose to stain all of the concrete one color, or you can have an epoxy coating put on. The protective  epoxy coating will help prevent future stains, it gives the garage floor a nice color and texture, and it's easy to reapply later on if needed because of wears or stains.

Preserving your asphalt driveway and your concrete garage floor are both important, and these areas needed to be maintained regularly. You don't want to look at the paint, and resurfacing these different areas improves the look and safety of the driveway and garage for your home, while also helping to maintain the materials of the property.
